Suzuki Bike -

Saw this today and started to wonder what it would be like to take this thing for a ride. I will have to satisfy myself just photographing this sweet bike!

HDR Number 734, Cumberland MD.

Shot last September, another attempt here at POST-SHOOT HDR assembly. I like the gentle saturation achieved in this view. Photo-matix HDR tool, GIMP2 for airbrush work, and Picasa for background shade.

Marsh Wild Fire 3-14-07

Noticed smoke rising around 6:00 p.m. from the south end of the Great Marsh, on the Mackay Island National Wildlife Refuge, just to the west of our home. This fire apparently an unintentional burn took its direction from the 15+ mile an hour northerly winds and burned a swath up the eastern edge of the marsh - this picture was taken from our balcony in the front of our house. It is now 10:00 p.m. and the fire continues on its course of destruction. Fortunately no homes were ever in real danger. The local fire department and units from nearby Virginia Beach VA., monitored the burn's progress.

Bell and Howell 70DR 16mm Movie Camera

I've used many - cleaned many, shot miles of film, but NEVER, HAVE I EVER, had a brand new - never used Bell and Howell 70 DR (FILMO) in my hands - that was until today. I had the opportunity to view this camera, and shot some images of this beauty. This event certainly brightened my day. We called this the 70KRM in my Navy Days. A beautiful camera. This one outfitted and prepared for use by Alan Gordon Enterprises of Hollywood California. Thought I would share this with you - enjoy!

Windsor VA Conrail on NS right of way

A beautiful Saturday afternoon - taking a break from the desk, caught this shot of a Conrail locomotive heading up an Eastbound Container run. This train blew by at high speed traveling from the Port of Richmond VA to Norfolk VA.

Romeo is quite the looker - special
thanks to Heather who sent me this

Trip to Fort Knox Ky. - Flatlander finds his SNOW!
Living on the coast of North Carolina - I don't often have the opportunity to experience snow. Well it found me while on a recent trip to Ft. Knox KY. Never have figured out why Mother Nature seems to put HILLS where it snows.

MARC Commuter Train - Air Brush Fun!
This was originally shot in color and converted to B&W in post-shoot edit.

I took GIMP2 and did the layering, airbrush and background.

Just a bit of fun I thought I'd share with you all.
